Project Overview

Galileo's Pavilion is a LEED Platinum-certified educational facility developed through Studio 804's design-build program at the University of Kansas. Serving as both a learning environment and a showcase of sustainable design, the project combines classrooms, exhibition space, and collaborative gathering areas within a high-performance building envelope.

The pavilion incorporates reclaimed materials, renewable energy systems, rainwater harvesting, and green roof technologies to enhance environmental performance while providing students with hands-on experience throughout the construction process. Through the integration of design, fabrication, and building, the project highlights the potential of design-build practice to create thoughtful, sustainable architecture.
